What types of soles are there? Where do you use each type of sole?<\/h2>\n

Today there is a variety of footwear with soles that are designed to allow the player to adapt easily and effectively<\/strong> to the field on which they play, and to do so with complete confidence that the risk of injury is considerably reduced and that their performance will not be adversely affected.<\/p>\n

AG, FG AG, MF, MG, TF, or TURF type soles<\/strong> or similar, are the ideal soles<\/strong> for every existing football field. In addition, they are characterised by short studs<\/strong> that do not exceed 1 cm.<\/p>\n

\"Tipos<\/p>\n

Turf<\/h3>\n

Their heels are not like the others, they are described as grooves or fluted lines<\/strong>.\u00a0This type of sole prevents injury, but sacrifices grip traction<\/strong>.\u00a0Its design makes it the most recommended for children.<\/p>\n

In addition, its use is indicated for terrains such as carpet, cement and earth,<\/strong> terrains where the impact is stronger and offers little or no cushioning.<\/p>\n

Multitaco<\/h3>\n

Boots with multi-touch soles are becoming more and more popular because of their high heeled soles<\/strong>.\u00a0Similarly, it is the most recommended for use on artificial turf.<\/p>\n

AG<\/h3>\n

Its acronym comes from the English Artificial Grass and has continued its evolution<\/strong> for a few years. They are the boots that have been perfected the most and their main characteristic is that they have soles with rubber studs. Their use is restricted to artificial grass.<\/strong><\/p>\n

FG<\/h3>\n

Their acronym is Firm Ground and they are the most used and preferred by most players.<\/strong> They are recommended for sprinters and strikers<\/strong>, as their soles are made up of 11 or 14 rubber studs.<\/p>\n

The cues of these soles are characterized by their different shapes and sizes<\/strong>.\u00a0Their use is recommended exclusively for natural grass.<\/p>\n

HG<\/h3>\n

The acronym is for Hard Ground and its use is restricted to earthen or carpeted fields only<\/strong>. It is equipped with long and hard resistance blocks.<\/p>\n

SG<\/h3>\n

The acronym is Soft Ground Sy and these usually have aluminium studs<\/strong>. This material allows for better traction on wet ground compared to rubber studs, which is why these soles are only used on soft, wet or damp ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How do I know if my cleats are not suitable?<\/h2>\n

Sometimes injuries are linked to not wearing the right type of footwear<\/strong> for the surface on which you are playing.<\/p>\n

  • If the soles of your shoes are not made for the surface you are playing<\/strong> on or you do not have the proper cleats for artificial turf, then you are most likely wearing footwear that makes you prone to injury.<\/li>\n
  • Instability on the pitch is constant and you fall a lot.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • If you don’t have the right sole, you may be wearing artificial turf boots on soft ground, which will eventually hinder your performance on the game.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The best blocks for artificial grass<\/h2>\n

    • Long blocks<\/strong>: these are made of plastic and have a totally anatomical shape, offering good protection for the sole and heel of your feet. They are ideal for artificial grass.<\/li>\n
    • Aluminium blocks<\/strong>: despite their material being lightweight and responding well to mobility, they are ideal for artificial turf.<\/li>\n
    • Multi studs<\/strong>: their shape is somewhat rounded and their sole has between 25 and 30 rubber studs.<\/li>\n
